For the Dutch National Historical Museum (which unfortunately never institutionalized but still is a virtual entity online) we developed a digital version of the well known Dutch Croquette-walls, operated by means of RFID.
The vending machine sells small objects, each of them referring to a specific historic period, person or event in Dutch history. Visitors can print their own customized (and re-usable) RFID card with which you can purchase your objects.
The Nationale Automatiek was exhibited at the Amsterdam Historical Museum and the Twentse Welle. From January 1st 2012 the Zuiderzee Museum owns the Automatiek .
